2009 was our first race, and was a huge success!! Thanks to everyone who participated!

About The Race

This is a mini sprint triathlon:

150 meter pool swim
10 mile bike ride
3 mile run

The pool swim is a staggered style start swimming one length of the pool in each lap lane. The bike and run take place on Southdown Mandalay Rd. which runs along the gentle curves of Bayou Black. This is not a highly traveled road, but does have some limited local traffic during the race.

Please note that helmets are REQUIRED for the bike portion of the race.

Race Start Time: 7:30
Race Day Packet pick-up/sign-in: 6:00-7:00
* there will be no race day registration & all racers must be signed in by 7:00 am on race day!!

Entry Fees:
Individuals: $35 if registered by August 17th
$45 from aug. 18th - Sept. 2nd
Relay Teams: $70 by August 17th
$90 after Aug. 17th - Sept. 2nd

No Registration will be accepted after 9/2/10.

Relay teams will consist of 2 or 3 team members.

* Tarpon swim team members get a $5.00 discount

Awards:
          1st Place Overall Male and Female
          1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers in each age
                 group
          **There is no fat tire division for this race.

Age Groups:
          14& U, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49,
          50-59, & 60+
